We were impressed by the beauty of Tsaft and highly recommend including it in your itinerary while visiting the country.

A tank on top of Mont Hermon in the Golan region, situated in the northern part of Israel, right at the border with Syria. You can really feel the tension between the two countries on top of the mountain as it hosts a large military base.

We hiked up the Masada fortress early in the morning. Following the guide we woke up at 5 am to climb to the top and enjoy the sunrise there at 7am. Honnestly the view was amazing, but I wouldn't recommend doing it at sunrise, since most people are going at that time. Instead, go and watch the sunset and it should be much quieter up there!
