My story.

My name is Francois de Halleux. Traveling and photography are my two hobbies. I had been working for three years for Google in Dublin, but decided in September 2009 to take some time to fulfill a dream I've had for a long time: fly to Sydney and make it back to Europe without flying!
A big concern for me is the environment. It saddens me to see our planet being destroyed but so far I wasn't doing much to make things change, except at a very personal level by being careful about my own consumption. So during my trip this will be a guiding principle: I will pay special attention to places where the impact of human activities on the environment is the most shocking. At the same time I will be looking for signals of hope as well and will pinpoint all positive initiatives and people I come across.
